Foreigners, who wish to work, conduct business or undertake investment activities in Thailand must apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa at the Thai Embassy or Consulates-General in their home/residence country and must be granted a work permit before starting work.

Please note that for foreigner who intends to work in Thailand and have not granted Non-immigration B visa, a Letter of approval from the Ministry of Labor is required. To obtain this letter, the applicant’s prospective employer in Thailand is required to submit application at the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor and Passport or Travel Document must not expire within 6 months and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page.
